Weekly Classes

GENERAL

  1. Why should my child join the SportsXcel programme?
    Your child will build resilience and learn teamwork in a multi-sport programme that is suitable for his or her age group. The programme will be carried out through weekly classes in the community.
     

  2. What is the SportsXcel programme?
    At our weekly classes, your child will explore fundamental skills and spatial awareness that are crucial for 12 different sports. They will then apply the skills to actual gameplay settings alongside t
    heir peers.
     

  3. Is my 3-year-old child able to join the SportsXcel classes?
    Yes, our classes and camps are suitable for children who are 3 to 8 years old. You can register your child under the 3-5 year old category while an older child may be under the 6-8 ye
    ar old group instead.
     

  4. Where are the SportsXcel classes and camps held?
    Our weekly classes and camps are mainly held in community
    facilities in the East and Northeast. For more information, check out our Weekly Classes webpages respectively for more details.
     

  5. When are the SportsXcel classes held?
    Our weekly classes
    for each sport are held over 1 hour for 1 month (i.e. 4 weeks). Check out our Weekly Classes webpage for more details. 
     

  6. What should be my child’s attire for SportsXcel classes and camps?
    Your child should be in the SportsXcel t-shirt with dri-fit shorts or long pants, with covered sports shoes and socks. 

     

  7. Can I observe my child’s SportsXcel class?
    Yes, we would recommend that you stay at the class premises for the entire duration. 
     

WEEKLY CLASSES

  1. What is the registration fee for a sport?
    The registration fees for a sport
     is S$140 (i.e. S$35/class for 4 classes), regardless of your child’s age group.
     

  2. How are the weekly classes carried out?
    Over 4 weeks, your child will learn fundamental skills and spatial awareness that are crucial for each sport. Your child will have to complete the 12 sports (i.e. 1 year) to enjoy the
    full benefits of undergoing SportsXcel’s multi-sport programme based on this class schedule:

  • March: Tennis

  • April: Rugby

  • May: Netball

  • June: Floorball

  • July: Dodgeball

  • August: Athletics

  • September: Volleyball

  • October: Handball

  • November: Baseball

  1. Can my child attend a trial class before we commit to weekly classes?
    Yes, you can do so at a trial class fee of S$20.

  2. Is my child allowed to join the weekly classes halfway through a month?
    If your child is a first-time student with SportsXcel, please join us for a trial session ($20 per child) at the first class of the chosen sport
    Otherwise, your child is required to join all 4 classes of the chosen sport
     

  3. How should I arrange for a make-up class for my child who was absent from a class? 
    If your child is ill or away on a holiday, a make-up class can be arranged only if SportsXcel is notified at least 1 hour before the class commences. For every sport your child is signed up for, they are eligible for 1 make-up class credit for the chosen sport. SportsXcel will inform you on the availability of slots for your child to attend the make-up class. 

    Any cancellations made within 1 hour from the class start time will not be valid, and the class fees will still be charged without any make-up class. 
     

  4. Can my child do any sport in any month? 
    Your child should follow the stipulated class schedule to explore different sports in SportsXcel’s holistic multi-sports programme.
     

  5. If my child took private classes for a specific sport from another school, can my child skip the first class?
    No, SportsXcel builds resilience and reinforces teamwork in a multi-sport programme that is suitable for your child’s age group. 

    Hence, your child’s fundamental skills and spatial awareness for the sport can be further enhanced from what he or she has been taught.​
